With the single engine configuration, the deep keel protects the propeller, shaft and rudder from damage as a result of grounding or hitting submerged objects when you get into those awkward spots. The large rudder and powerful Vetus-Maxwell bow and stern thrusters provides the maneuverability to make docking easy, even when short handed.

The engine room is accessed either though hinged hatches in the well insulated salon floor, or via the stairs to the forward cabins that lift up to give easy access to the end of the engine. With the single engine, there is ample room to comfortably move around the engine room to get to the engine, generator, and all the equipment for easy service.  Lighting is provided from Hella LED lighting and the painted perforated aluminium paneling gives a bright clean finish.  Outboard of the engines are the large fibreglass fuel and water tanks.

Wiring on the Classic 45 is neatly laid out, using marine tinned-copper wiring in well-laid-out wiring chases. Quality NZ switches and outlets are used throughout. The 160A engine mounted alternator and 660AH of AGM house batteries provide plenty of DC power while underway and at anchor and 230volt power can be provided continuously from the 3000Va Mastervolt pure sine wave inverter/charger.  The Onan generator has sound shields and provides the power for the reverse cycle heating and cooling and battery charging while at anchor or underway. In addition, dual 440W and 340W solar panels are installed on the flybridge roof and pilothouse roof respectively providing adequate power for all needs at anchor on sunny days.

Shurflo diagphram pump with accumulator tank provides a steady stream of potable water at all times via the quality blue and red Uponor PEX piping built for the life of your boat. The Whale sanitary pump and Trident premium sanitation hoses give reliable odour free operation for many years. Toilets are top quality Italian Tecma electric flushing with full size domestic bowls for that home comfort. Naturally all through hull fittings are made from quality bronze, with bronze ball valves, and double stainless steel hose clamps.

The spacious lazarette houses the hydraulic steering system, house batteries, stern thruster batteries, stern thruster,  inverter/charger, emergency tiller, and space for optional water makers ( she is pre-wired for a water maker if required), while still providing space for all your fishing gear, deck chairs, and all your other toys.
